The Ten Booms
I am sad to announce that we have officially finished reading The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom. We will never forget the lessons we learned reading this amazing book.
I had the students pick some of their favorite quotes from the book. Please take your time as you scroll through each students choice ( some were out because of Speech Meet ). Read these treasure truths and allow God to speak to your heart! These are powerful, Holy Spirit lead words! Be blessed!
Next, I had the student's choose between a few different Book Report Projects! They had fun with this and did a great job! Below are some pictures of their projects!
Jack's Diorama of the scene where the Ten Booms are getting arrested because they are caught hiding Jew. I love the detail of the "watch shop" written on the pieces.
Pete's Diorama of the scene where Corrie was sharing Jesus with the German officer. Pete made this scene precisely how it was envisioned in the book- pretty powerful!
Ben giving us a puppet show of the Jews practicing the emergency drill (for Jews to hide in secret room). It was very thought out and entertaining.
Noah's diorama of the Prison the Ten Booms stayed at. He put a skeleton in the jail cell representing death.
Ethan's Diorama of the concentration camp! Look at the faces on the erasers! So creative!
Lexie's Diorama of Corrie in prison speaking to her friends, the ants... and sitting next to her most precious possession, a Bible.
Mack Presenting her mobile of the events in The Hiding Place
Megan presenting her diorama of the scene of Betsie holding a Bible Study in the concentration camp sleeping quarters.
The students watching "LIVE" on the scene breaking news by Alex Cornwell. He was showing us Corrie's room and the secret hiding place.
I am forever changed by the truths found in The Hiding Place.
We will not forget the Ten Booms
Great verses chosen by all (love really IS larger than the walls that shut it in) and their projects are amazing! I loved this book, and I'm so glad they did too!! Great job guys!!
