The kids are relieved! Can you tell?
Onto Chapter 2 we go...
I wanted to brag on Alex Cornwell for making a 100 on his History test!
Many of the 5th and 6th graders made A's and high B's as well. I'm so proud of our hardworking students!
(We interviewed Alex as Matthew from the Gospel's this morning- He did a great job.)
I can't believe how fast these weeks have flown by! Can you? Before we know it, it's going to be Christmas!
Before I end this post, I wanted to give some encouragement.
My family has gone through some trying times this past year, however God has been so good to remind us of some truth from His awesome Word.
The most important truth we've learned is: God is good... Always!
Even in the midst of suffering and hardship.
"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us." Romans 5:1-4
"During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered ." Hebrews 5:7 -8
Our sufferings are preparing us for the eternity with Jesus, as well as teaching us the importance of obedience on earth. Praise be to God for His molding...His sanctification!
God is good... even in the midst of suffering and hardship.
Amen!
In His everlasting love,
Mrs. Houck
